I always enjoy receiving constructive criticism, especially when it comes to my academics. I think it is really important especially in English to receive input from other people. It allows you as a writer to incorporate new ideas and perspectives into your writing and strengthen your writing and your argument you are trying to make. It is also beneficial to have another set of eyes proofread any piece of writing you do to catch any grammatical or organizational errors and make sure your writing flows. I had two classmates peer review my essay and the comments they gave me really helped me. One specific comment was that helped me was when one of my classmates suggested to add a specific quote to help strengthen my argument. This helped a lot because now I have a piece of advice on how to improve my essay and make my point even stronger. I also liked how my classmates suggested to incorporate some personal connections in my essay which I think is a really great idea because it will integrate the authors perspectives and my own!
